“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 (NRSV) With God we can overcome anything. We don’t need to cower in fear. When faced with uncertainty or overwhelmed with astronomical concerns know that you have the greatest power source available to you. Nothing will separate us from Him. Whatever you face you can and will make it.

Give God all your concerns and allow Him to settle the matters of your life. Surrender your heavy burdens over to Him and let Him move on your behalf. He is more than able to handle everything that weighs heavy on your heart and mind today. You are not in this alone. You have a confidant, a helper and a deliverer right by your side. You are not abandoned. You can rest assured you are not forsaken. He knows every single thing that troubles you, even those thoughts you are unable to put into words. We serve a God that cannot fail. He will take care of this. Be encouraged.

During times of suffering it can be extremely challenging to maintain your hope and keep pressing ahead, but it is certainly possible. When you consistently pray, even when you don’t feel like it, it helps you to release all that weighs you down into God’s loving care. Remain steadfast while you wait for your change to come. It may not be easy but it is achievable. Let your hope be firmly rooted in He who is faithful. Find joy in knowing He has not forgotten you. No matter what it looks like maintain your optimism. He will work it out. Keep forging ahead. Your deliverance will come. Be encouraged.

When everyone and everything fails you, God will be all that you need and more. When your body fails you, your heart is weak and your soul is weary, He will rise up in you and give you the strength that you long for and the healing you so desperately need. In the face of uncertainty you can depend on Him. When everyone leaves you, He is omnipresent. When your disappointments appear insurmountable, He proves Himself to be faithful. You can face and overcome any challenge in life with God. He is the definition of victory. Be encouraged and trust God in every season of your life.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Isaiah 43:18 (NIV) Your past is called that for a reason. It’s a stage you have moved beyond, a point in time that God has brought you through. No matter what is in your former days, He desires to use you. Do not pitch your tent in yesterday. God is doing something new. It is difficult to fully embrace it all and move forward while looking back. If we are not careful the past will immobilize us and rob us from truly enjoying the here and now. Keep your focus on all that God is doing in your life in this season. Your previous place should not have power over your current space. Don’t allow your past to rob your future. Yesterday was a gift. Today is a present. As you open your hands to let go of the former things, you put yourself in position to receive. Seize the moment.

The Great Defender: We all have challenges on this journey called life. There will be seasons of great joy but also times of persecution and hardship. In spite of what you are going through, God will protect you always. If you are dealing with an attack from your enemies, He is faithful to fight on your behalf. If you are fighting for your life due to illness, watch God move mightily. Perhaps you are weak and tired of the struggle in your mind and body, let His strength rise up within you. If your problems overwhelm you and seem to accumulate by the day, release it into God’s care. He will keep you. Whatever your fight is, from within or without, you have an advocate that will defend you to no end. Be encouraged.

“Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Mark 6:31(NIV) It is very important for us to take time to retreat and be restored and renewed. Often we can pour so much out that we don’t take the necessary time to be refilled. It is a blessing to care for others and be responsible in life. However, self-care is just as important to your overall well-being. If you are feeling drained and tired, remember to take some time to rest. In the midst of all your scheduling, make time for you. Settle down, relax, and soak in the presence of God. Create a healthy routine in your life that is balanced and experience peace of mind.

If you are waiting for someone or something to make you happy, the wait is over. Each new day is a reason to celebrate. Embrace the opportunity to have new experiences. Appreciate what you have, rather than lament over what you lack. Turn all negative thoughts around and find hope in every situation. Be intentional about having peace of mind today and experience true joy. Don’t let your circumstances dictate your emotions. Everything may not be the way you desire. Change what you can and give the rest to God. Say to yourself, “Today I choose to enjoy my life.”

In the presence of God we find our safe place. He will protect and keep us in times of adversity. We have no need to fear. He will fight our battles and shield us. When you are under attack or feeling ambushed by life, retreat to your hiding place and find your security in His loving arms. The battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s. When you are a target, the dart is aimed towards He who holds you in the palm of His hand. He will not let you be harmed. Find rest and confidence in the assurance that you have a mighty force fighting on your behalf. And the battle is already won.
