When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Prov. 16:7 (Amp.) It is never easy to have individuals who oppose you and are hostile towards you. The hurt can seem difficult to endure. If we are not careful, we can give our enemies more space in our mind and emotions than they deserve. Submit your foes to God. Do not respond in your flesh or stoop to their level. Don’t waste energy devising schemes to get back at them. Do what is right even when you are being targeted. Let your words and actions be consistent with the Lord and He will grant you favor. He will cause your enemies to retreat. Stay the course and don’t take the bait.
