Monday Meditation

My Fortress

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 59:16 (NIV) Every day is a gift from God. As we rise each day remember God loves you. It is His love that gives us strength to keep going. His love helps us in the times of trouble and delivers us from all harm. Declare today that you are loved, kept and covered by God. Now walk in confidence knowing that no matter what comes your way this week you can make it, because God cares for you. You are not alone and when you feel as though no one loves you, remember God loves you more than you can ever imagine. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. James 1:26 (NIV) As believers we should try to reflect God’s love always, especially in our dialogue. Every time we open our mouth, we should be aware of how we speak to and about others. When we interact with others it is an opportunity to build up or tear down and a chance to encourage or discourage. Even in our anger we must be careful of what we say and how we say it. Be mindful of the type of conversations we choose to entertain. Don’t allow yourself to be baited by the enemy to say something that you can’t take back. What we say is a manifestation of what is in our heart. If your words don’t resemble the love of God, it’s time to do a heart check. Surrender your heart to God completely and allow Him to uplift others through you. Make a conscious decision to speak life and love to anyone who comes across your path. As we meditate on the verse of the week, seek God’s face to help you control your tongue and be a true witness of God’s grace. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Hab. 2:3 (NLT) God has a plan and purpose for your life. Ask God to give your clarity. He will not leave you in the dark regarding His plans for you. He will lead you step by step to the designated place preordained for you. Resist the temptation to move in haste due to impatience. Don’t allow the time of waiting make you doubt the vision God gave you. Avoid the pitfall of discouragement that may try to bait you to throw in the towel. Even in moments of disappointment maintain a steady pace. When you’re getting closer to your goal or purpose often all havoc breaks loose in your life. That is a distraction intended to slow you down or stop you in your tracks. Too often we quit right before we get our breakthrough. Don’t give up before it comes to pass. Keep the faith, your appointed time is inevitable if you just stay the course. What you are called to do is not just about you, but all those who will be blessed by what God has put in you. Stay committed, don’t let anything put your fire out and keep pressing forward. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Dare To Hope

The thought of my suffering and homelessness is bitter beyond words. I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”  Lam. 3:19-24 (NLT) There are times in our life when we go through seasons of suffering. During these moments, days or years the losses may appear too great and the pain too much to bear. It is in these moments that we must have a “Yet I Still Dare to Hope” praise. When you dare to hope in God, it means that in spite of the pain and difficulty you are enduring, you choose to believe God will deliver you. It’s a personal declaration that no matter what it looks or feels like you will trust God to change your situation for the better. It’s a leap of unshakable faith that cannot be penetrated by your circumstances. Don’t let moments of discouragement cause you to doubt God. Let your downheartedness be greeted by a will that honestly desires to trust God for all things and in every situation. Unwavering confidence in God is the antidote to a disquieted spirit. As you meditate on the verse of the week remember that when you go through difficult times, dare to hope in God. He sees you and His faithfulness continues to flow towards you. May His grace rain down on you and His mercy uplift you in every weary place. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Psalm 3:2-4 (NIV) Sometimes when you are going through difficult seasons in your life, there will be many who doubt that God will deliver you. Often it is when your situation is at its worst, others will try to put limitations on what God can do for you because of their limited faith. There are some that genuinely do not desire for your situation to change or get better. When your faith is being tested try to drown out the noise of the naysayers and trust God even more. Don’t let seeds of doubt be planted in your heart and mind from those who do not know what God is about to do in your life. As we focus on the verse of the week, believe that in your challenging times God will cover you in the midst of what you’re going through. He will change your countenance and bring you joy where there is sadness. He will bring you serenity where there is chaos and uneasy feelings. He hears you when you cry out to Him and He is faithful to come to your rescue. Don’t give up now, no matter what anyone says. Believe for yourself that God has not forgotten you and His faithfulness towards you will never cease. God has you and all that concerns you in the palm of His hand. Stay encouraged! Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. Psalm 9:9-10 (NLT) Have you ever experienced overwhelming excessive burdens in your life? Do you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? Have you ever dealt with afflictions and distress that seemed too much to bear? Today, God reminds us that He is our present help in the times of trouble. Before you give up, try trusting God. When you are at your lowest know that God can meet you right where you are and lift you up to a higher ground. People may abandon you and others may disappoint you, but God will never forsake you. As we meditate on the verse of the week, seek God’s face for every concern in your life. Lay it all before Him and receive strength, rest and peace from on high. God remembers you and He sees all that you are going through. You are not alone and with Him you can make it through anything and everything that comes your way. Hold on, hang in there and don’t give up. God’s got you! Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

What you go through on the way to where you are going only prepares you for your destination. Prayer Answering God

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 (NIV) Seeking God is an act of faith. When we put our trust in God, we must believe that He is faithful to move on our behalf. The Lord sees you and He hears you; He will answer your call. As we meditate on the verse of the week, take all your burdens to God. Give Him your concerns, pain and hurts. He will rescue you and keep you safe. As you depend on Him, all your fears and doubts will have to submit to His authority. God is a prayer answering provider. Pursue Him and He will protect you.
