But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:22 (NLT) Hearing the word of God and and letting the word become alive in our lives are two different things. Let the word of God permeate in us and through us until our actions and thoughts have no choice but to align with His will and His way. Today, make a commitment to spend time in the word of God daily. Pray for understanding and guidance. Most importantly, apply the word to your daily life. Let the word come alive in you. The Encounter

But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; have made the Lord God my refuge and placed my trust in Him, That I may tell of all Your works. Psalm 73:28 (Amp.) God is ever-present in our lives and in every situation.  He promises to never leave us on the journey on the way to our heavenly destination. We must be active and willing to acknowledge His presence and power in our lives with each day. Drawing near to God requires a repositioning of our heart, mind and focus on Him in every way. Press pass the distractions that comes in many forms and surrender to His will. Experience the goodness of basking in His grace when we seek Him and be still. Delight in the love that fills us when we seek His face. Encounter the beauty of His glory as we allow Him consume every space. Place your hand in His hand and give Him complete control. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Col 4.2 (NIV) In these days that seem uncertain we must be on guard. We are called to be intercessors, especially when times are hard. We have a duty to stand on the wall, knowing that God hears us when we call. Watch and pray not for some, but for all. The time is now to stand in our rightful place. We must be focused on God to have stamina for this race. With a grateful and thankful heart, we cry out on one accord. With humility and reverence, we earnestly seek the Lord. Don’t waiver and don’t get weary due to all that you see and hear. Walk by faith, trust God and denounce all fear. Rise up, be ready and steady to serve on the battlefield. Let His Peace Arise

Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. Col 3:15 (Amp.) Inner peace can only come from the shalom of God. There is too much going on in our lives and the world for us to rely on any other source to keep us grounded and stable. We must stay connected to the one who gives us peace and preserves our heart and mind. He is the anchor in our times of storm and stabilizer in the windy season. It is difficult to have peace with others when there is no peace within. Let the peace of God rule and reign in your heart today and always. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Blessings Descending

Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be. Job 8:7 (NIV) Don’t despise the days of humble beginnings. In the end God will give you increase for your lack. All that you’ve lost God will give back. No matter what you go through in the process, trust that God has not forgotten you. He’ll bring redemption for all that you’ve gone through. Stay humble in all seasons of life, especially during times of despair. God is ever-present, alert and aware. He knows what you need and has already made a way of provision that is in alignment with His providential care. Keep the faith and know that He is near. Rest For Our Souls

Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1 (NIV) In times of distress we can call on God to help us through. He is there for us no matter what we go through. His mercy and grace extend without borders or restrictions. His love covers us with divine protection. If you’re feeling full of anxiety or weighed down, He can turn your situation around. Trust God and believe that He hears you when you call. Have faith that He will deliver you from it all. The Humble Shall Rise

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you. Psalm 32:8 (Amp.) In order to learn, you must be teachable. In order to receive you must make yourself reachable. If you truly desire instruction from the one who has all the answers that we need. Position yourself to hear and be ready to take heed. Seek the Lord for clear directions. He will guide you down the path of protection, even when you’re experiencing rejection. Lean on God for understanding and insight. We must trust that His way is always right. Humble yourself to learn from the one who desires to impart all knowledge unto you. Be willing to see life from God’s perspective and view. Follow His Lead

In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Prov. 3:6 (NIV) But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt. 6:33 (NIV) Before you make your plans press into His presence. Humble yourself in complete reverence. He knows the way and the path that He has orchestrated and designed. We must seek His guidance in order to be aligned. Even when we have questions we must trust that He will show us the way. We need Him in order to stay on the right path and not stray. Sometimes, His plans may be different than what we request or desire. We must believe that His way will take us higher. So, don’t be disappointed when He closes some doors. We must have faith that God has something better in store. Believe that God has a divine direction for us to proceed. Wait on God, take heed, and follow His lead. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Give Generously

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 (NIV) As believers in Christ, we are called to give generously. Not just monetarily, but with our time, talents, and heart. Give freely compassion, forgiveness, empathy, kindness and genuine love. Every interaction with us should leave individuals feeling renewed. When we allow God to use us as vessels of His love, others experience Him through us. We are living epistles and every encounter with us should draw others to Him. This is not to say that we don’t miss the mark sometimes, because we are a work in progress. No matter our own shortcomings and efforts to be better, we are called to strive to share with others the goodness of God that He bestows upon us daily.
