Mondy Meditation

He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats or gossips about a matter separates intimate friends. Proverbs 17:9 (Amp.) In relationships and interactions with others, you may be offended at one time or another intentionally or unintentionally. Sometimes these incidents can build up or break down a friendship. Whether you choose to maintain the friendship or not it is beneficial and fruitful to forgive the offense. We should have the same passion for extending mercy to others as we have for God to grant mercy towards us. Gossiping or continuing to tell the story of the offense to others is an indication that you may need to continue to heal. Unforgiveness impedes the healing process. If you are harboring any negative thoughts or emotions due to an offense by anyone, make the choice to seek love inwardly and outwardly. Release all that keeps you bound by the hurts of the past and set yourself and others free. Then embrace the peace of God. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon
