Monday Meditation

When pride comes [boiling up with an arrogant attitude of self-importance], then come dishonor and shame, but with the humble [the teachable who have been chiseled by trial and who have learned to walk humbly with God] there is wisdom and soundness of mind. Prov. 11:2 (Amp.) While basking in your achievements, don’t forget to remain grounded. Accomplishments, positions, and possessions do not define you. It is only by the grace of God that you are where you are. Never consider yourself to be exalted above anyone else, because it is all to the glory of God. Be an example to everyone that you meet. There is no substitute for good character and a humble heart. Let your presence be an encouragement to others.

Know that you are forever growing. There is always more for you to learn. However, you’re not reachable if you’re unteachable. Be able to admit when you need help or when you are wrong. Be willing to receive constructive feedback, guidance, wisdom and direction from the Lord and those whom He uses to pour into you. Most importantly, modestly move through life completely surrendered to the constant molding and shaping of God. He will open doors for you. So, leave space for others in the room and pave the way for those who are behind you. Your journey is not all about you, but also how you can build and bless others. Stay humble, so you don’t stumble. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon
