Resting in God

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 (NIV) God we pray for all those who are hurting today. We pray that you restore joy to the joyless and hope to the hopeless. Mend every broken and scattered pieces of their hearts back together again. Lift every burden, relieve every heavy weight and bring light in the midst of darkness. Do what only you can do to heal and deliver every person who needs a healing touch from you today. You are the God of all comfort. Provide rest for the weary and strength to the weak. Bring calm during the times of storms. Tell the winds to cease and place us on solid ground. As we release every care unto you, we receive your sweet serenity. We bask in your unwavering love that fills and uplifts us. Thank you for hearing our prayers and answering our plea. Thank you for loving us unconditionally. Thank you for being our heavy lifter and burden bearer. Thank you for your peace that surpasses understanding. We receive your rest. Amen. My brothers and sisters, be encouraged in the Lord.
