A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. Prov. 14:30 (NIV) Find peace in your life with all the Lord has provided to you. There is a danger in looking at others and coveting what they have or the life they live. You don’t know all they had to endure or go through to get where they are. When you try to possess what others have simply because you secretly desire to be like them, you may be abandoning or neglecting what God has for you. It’s ok to celebrate others or even be inspired by them. But it is unhealthy to be driven by envy and attempt to wear their shoes while they’re walking in them. Follow the path God has for you.
