About Agape Inspirations

"But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace." Acts 20:24 (NRSV)

Monday Meditation

Light Up The Dark

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9 (NIV) You are not responsible for the actions of others. You are 100% responsible for how you respond. It takes great discipline and self-control to not be provoked by others, especially when their intentions are of an evil nature. Again, we must remember how we respond says more about us than them. When faced with evildoers, do not give them more energy than they deserve. Don’t be lured into their web of conflict. Let your light shine in the face of darkness. God will take care of you and you will be rewarded for your faithfulness. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Freedom Friday

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph. 2:10 (NIV) Always remember, when God created you He had a plan in mind just for you. He equipped you with all that you need to accomplish what He wants to do through you. When others are making stride, that’s them walking in their calling. Don’t be intimidated, get active in walking in your purpose. Don’t try to copy anyone else. Be yourself and let God use you. Real Love

Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it. If a man tried to buy love with all his wealth, his offer would be utterly scorned. Song of Solomon 8:7 (NLT) True authentic love flows no matter the dams that are created to hold it back. It overrides obstacles and dismantles dysfunctional patterns that seeks to hinder or halt it. It will not be swallowed up or led astray. It cannot be bought or sold. It is precious to behold. Let the love of God flow through you into the world. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Wait & Watch God Move

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23 (NIV) Hope, in Hebrew is tikvah. This is no ordinary hope. When we have tikvah, we take the posture of one who waits with an expectation for God to move on our behalf. Most importantly, it means that our disposition models what we believe. Hope maintains optimism and does not entertain pessimistic thoughts. When we have hope we hold onto the promise without wavering. When you expect something, you get in position to receive it and prepare for its arrival. So, tell disappointment you will not be moved or shaken. Tell doubt to take a long walk. Then wait and watch God move. He’s brought us thus far and He will not leave us now. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Freedom Friday

If I say, “My foot has slipped,” Your compassion and lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up. When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, your comforts delight me. Psalm 94:18-19 (Amp.) When we fixate on a concern it can evolve into worry and take a life of its own. Often when you don’t see a way out or have an immediate answer it can give birth to a series of anxious thoughts. When we create scenarios in our mind and imagine all that can possibly go wrong, it feeds these thoughts and adds fuel to the fire. Let your faith subdue all your fears and trust that God will respond to all of your cares. Press Forward! ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Posture of Hope

For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, for my hope is from Him. Psalm 62:5 (Amp.) There is a posture of hope. One must wait in silence for God. Sometimes it is hard to wait – let alone in silence. Waiting without complaining can be difficult. Waiting without uttering negative thoughts of doubt can be equally hard. It may be a challenge to silence the anxious thoughts and emotions that try to consume us when we are in waiting mode. Submit and surrender your concerns, thoughts, emotions, desire and will to Him. Trust that He will sustain you, light your path and take care of all that concerns you. When we truly place all our hope in Him, we let go, let God and find rest. Have confidence that your hope is in God alone and He will not fail you. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Let it Go!

Good sense and discretion make a man slow to anger, and it is his honor and glory to overlook a transgression or an offense [without seeking revenge and harboring resentment]. Prov. 19:11 (Amp.) Mental rehearsal and constant reflections on offenses are psychological and emotional exercises that stifles personal growth. It is for your own benefit that you do not allow transgressions to taunt, haunt or hinder you. Evict the spirit of offense and free that space for more positive, productive and purposeful energy. Work In Progress

I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. Phil. 1:6 (Amp.) As you press forward into all that is in store for you this year don’t give up on your dreams or doubt your destiny. All that God has started in your life will come to pass. Delayal does not mean denial. Postponement does not mean it wasn’t meant to be. Don’t let obstacles discourage you. Use them as steppingstones, not burdens to carry. Whatever comes your way to derail you will only develop you. Keep pressing, even when it’s hard. Keep stepping forward, even when faced with opposing forces. Stay strong and remember God’s plans for you are for a divine purpose and is far greater than you can ever imagine. Keep the faith and know that He is not done with you yet. All that He has purposed for you He will see it through. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Eph. 4:22-24 (NIV) Never forget who you are, but don’t be bound by things that don’t define you any longer. Don’t be afraid to let go of beliefs, actions, thoughts, dispositions, people, places and things that are not part of what and who you want to be going forward. Most importantly don’t remain committed to anything or anyone that hinders you from living the way God desires. Don’t hold onto anything, within you or in your life, that is working in direct opposition to His will for you. This year be intentional about being the best version of yourself that you deserve and desire. Make room for and embrace all that is new. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon
