About Agape Inspirations

"But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace." Acts 20:24 (NRSV)

Monday Meditation

Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! Prov. 15:23 (NLT) Everything that is on your mind does not have to roll off your lips. You can have good intentions, but bad timing. Your words should be used to encourage, support and uplift. There is nothing like a good word that comes just when you need it. The key to saying the right thing at the right time is discernment. Be spirit-led, so you are used as an instrument of light in the midst of someone’s darkness. You never know what people are going through and God may want to use you to deliver a timely word that will change the trajectory of someone’s life or shift their situation for the better. Pray, then think carefully about what you’re about to say. If it is not the right timing then wait for another day. If the timing is right then let God have His way. Let’s go and grow together. It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deut. 31:8 (Amp.) In life there are some difficult roads that we may travel. We must trust God in order to not unravel. Know that God is by your side for the journey, and He is making a way. He travels with you by night and day. He is with you during the ups and downs. There is no greater support that will ever be found. When it is good or bad our God remains the same, so you are not alone. He will not leave you to figure it out on your own. If you are going through trials of any kind, He sees your pain and every tear. Find strength in knowing that He cares for you and is always by your side. If you’re at your lowest point, from Him you cannot hide. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Be Encouraged

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 (NIV) Be strong, for God knows all that you’re going through and He will be your support. It doesn’t matter who is there, or not, God will uphold you and give you the strength you need to continue press forward to victory. Find courage from deep within, because you have assurance that God is working on your behalf. Have no fear, for God is your protector and He will go before you. Be encouraged for you are never alone and there is absolutely nothing God can’t bring you through. May your heaviness be lifted, and God’s peace surround you. Now press forward with hope and confidence. God will take care of you. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

The heart of the godly thinks carefully before speaking; the mouth of the wicked overflows with evil words. Prov.15:28 (NLT) It takes self-control, self-awareness, wisdom and discernment to think carefully before speaking and responding. Be cognizant if you are easily offended, frequently defensive, and occasionally regret what you’ve said after the fact. Sometimes we are not observant of the impact of our words until we are told or we witness a shift in someone’s demeanor and attitude towards us after the encounter. None of us are perfect and we are all a work in progress. However, it is our responsibility to be committed and surrendered to let God continue to work on us to effectively work through us. Every interaction is an opportunity for us to reflect God’s love and grow in our own personal and spiritual development. It’s not about how forceful your words are but rather how faithful you are to measure your words with grace. Remember, maintain your focus on the purpose more than you are led to pack a harsh and powerful verbal punch. Difficult conversations are sometimes necessary, but delivery is extremely important. True power is being able to guard your tongue and manage your emotions. At the end of your conversations ask the question, did God get the glory or the enemy? Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Let Go & Let God

The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:18 (NLT) When faced with difficult times you can often feel alone or isolated. There is a void sometimes that can only be filled by the Lord. Find comfort in knowing that God is near to you. With a sincere heart cry out to God. Location or position is not as important as the condition of your heart. You don’t have to be elegant in speech or have any specific words to use. Know that God will meet you where you are. God is searching our hearts. Trust God enough to be completely vulnerable before Him. He already knows what you’re going through. Crying out to God is an outward sign of an inner decision to place all your hope in Him. Putting it in His hand is the first step. Truly surrendering it to Him is the next. Now let go and let God. He is faithful to take care of you. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Find Peace In The Promise

Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed. Psalm 119:116 (NIV) When you feel like giving up God will give you the strength to press ahead. So, when you are tempted to quit trust the Lord instead. He is your support all the days of your life, come what may. No matter what is going on God has the final say. You can lean on Him and He’ll keep you from falling into despair. Wherever you are God is near. Place all your hope in Him and trust that He won’t let you down. Your situation is never too bad that He can’t turn it around. He is aware of all that you are going through, because He is all knowing. You can persevere because His grace and mercy are forever flowing. Rest in the assurance that He has plans for you. There isn’t anything that can stop His purpose from going through. God has promises stored up for you to receive. Hang in there, keep the faith and simply believe. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Unwavering Faith

But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. James 1:6 (Amp.) Although life will send us many twists and turns, don’t take the bait to give in. Tap into the power of God that dwells within. Never let the seeds of doubt take root or hinder your potential. Remember, placing all your trust in God is essential. Stay anchored in Him, so you don’t get tossed to and fro like a feather. Maintain your hope in the Lord no matter the weather. Have no fear during the stormy seasons of life, for God will cause the winds and waves to cease. Have unwavering faith and rest in His divine peace. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Because He reigns, you can rest

I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. Job 42:2 (NIV) In this text we see Job acknowledging that God is in complete and total control. His power is unlimited. This is a refreshing reminder for us of God’s sovereignty. Know that in spite of what is going on all around you or even within you, God still sits on the throne. So, instead of stressing about anything seek help from on high. There is nothing too small or big that He cannot handle. What seems monumental to you is His opportunity to do the miraculous. God has you and all that concerns you in the palm of His hand. Nothing or no one can thwart His plans. Because He reigns, you can rest. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Monday Meditation

But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. Acts 9:15 (NIV) God called Ananias to go meet Saul during the onset of his conversion experience. Saul later referred to as Paul went on to accomplish great things for the kingdom of God. During this week meditate on Acts 9:1-15. Be encouraged to know these facts. God has a plan for you in spite of your past. He will use others to help build, direct and encourage you along the way. Most importantly, you are God’s chosen instrument. There is a divine assignment over each of our lives. Remember where God has called you from and what He has called you to. When God gives you an assignment, say yes. For those who are flowing in what God has called you to do, don’t get weary. For those who have set your purpose aside for whatever reason, the time is now to get back to the task that was entrusted to you. And for those who are still seeking to understand or embrace what God has for you to do, seek His face for clarity. Whatever you do, never forget God called you to Himself first, then unto the world. There is an assignment on your life, uniquely crafted for you. You’ve been selected to be effective. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon
