Every day is a gift from God. Live your life with intention and purpose. Don’t waste time on anger or negative emotions. Do at least one thing today towards meeting your goals. Be joyful and take delight in every moment. Simply be and do your very best today. Count your blessing instead of measuring your disappointments. You are blessed to be a blessing. Do a random act of kindness and remember to be kind to yourself. Make today amazing.

“Let them turn away from evil and do good; let them seek peace and pursue it.” 1 Peter 3:11 (NRSV) We are called to not just want peace but to actively pursue it. We must strive to settle conflicts, not harbor resentment and don’t entertain thoughts of revenge. It is hard to experience peace within when you have unresolved issues with others. When you have peace, fight to maintain it. Don’t render it so easily. Preserve your mind and thoughts by not letting negative seeds take root. You can experience peace. God provides the peace, but we must be willing participants to embrace it and keep it.

“The LORD replied, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14 (NIV) God has promised to be with us and give us rest. We can depend on Him to be faithful to us and keep His promises. In spite of what you are going through, remember God is with you. In His presence you will find all the rest and peace you so desperately need and long for. He can silence all your anxieties and fears. Take courage and know that He is near.

In the midst of all you are going through steal away and center your thoughts on His lovingkindness and faithfulness. Meditate on Him and all His promises. It all begins and ends with Him. He can take care of all the details in-between. Let your unwavering trust remain hopeful in the faithful provider. No matter what it looks like, believe and you will receive His perfect peace.

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Phil 3:14 (NIV) There will be many things and people that try to hold you back. Break free from all that hinders you and attempt to keep you off track. Press towards all that God has designed and set aside just for you. Don’t let strongholds keep you bound and stop you from completing what God has called you to do. When it gets hard, press harder. When in despair, call on the Father. You will make it to the end. Your victory already dwells within. Don’t quit. Don’t give up. Don’t get distracted. Don’t you dare throw in the towel. Know that you have many blessings in store. Press on until you can’t press anymore.

No matter who you are or the title you hold, we all stumble sometimes. We don’t always get it right. Regardless of how hard you try you will have disappointments at times. Sometimes it is beyond your control. Other times we failed to have self-control. Whatever the case, when you fall or fail, get back up again. Don’t remain stuck in your setbacks. Use the downward movement to propel you further.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17 (NIV) During the course of life you will have many who profess to be a friend. Those that honestly mean it will be there until the end. Choose your company wisely and ask God to send them your way. All those who are not sincere, ask Him to take them away. Offer the friendship that you would like to acquire. Trust that God will send a genuine friend that you sincerely desire. He’s faithful to connect you with those who have your best interest in mind. Trust Him, the greatest confidant you’ll ever find.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 NIV We all have special God given gifts and talents. We are called to use them to serve others. If you have the gift to counsel, encourage. If you are gifted to teach, educate. If you are gifted to lead, build others. You have many gifts bestowed upon you, not just one. Walk in them, dance in them, and use them for the glory of God. Own it, then share it!
