Prayer For Friends & Close Relationships

After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. Job 4:10 (NIV) God we lift up all our relationships to you today. Forgive us for the times we’ve missed the mark in our interactions and give us a heart to forgive those who have done the same to us. Help us to forgive others when they drop the ball. We acknowledge that we are human and don’t always get it right. Even when our intentions are good, we can fail in our efforts to meet those we love at their place of need. We repent for every time when we’ve misread what was happening in the moment and spoke anything other than what was inspired by you. Forgive us for when we’ve tried to comfort, but in error added more sorrow. Help us to forgive ourselves and others. We ask that you love our friends and family through us and love us through them. Let all that we do and say be pleasing in your sight and in alignment with your will. We seek your face for reconciliation of all relationships that were severed prematurely. We pray for a release of all that has been held up due to our disobedience and false narrative of the events in our life and the lives of others. We pray that you protect and cover all of our relationships. May you get the glory in our connections. As Job’s life was restored after he prayed for His friends, we pray for restoration in every area of our life. We surrender to you and yield our heart to be a vessel for you. Love Like None Other

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jer. 31.3 (NIV) Everlasting love is just what we all need right now. The beauty is it is available to all of us. It is refreshing to know that we are loved beyond measure. That should bring comfort to those who have experienced inconsistent love from individuals throughout the course of life. Often, we make the mistake of transferring our disappointment of earthly relationships into our connection with our heavenly Father. I encourage you today to know that you can be completely 100% vulnerable in the arms of God. He loves you more than you can ever imagine and there is nothing you can do about it. Let His love draw you closer into an intimate relationship with Him. Open your arms wide and bask in the never-ending, unfailing, everlasting, unconditional love of God. Rest in it and let it revive you. Dance in it and let it elevate you. Dwell in it an let it empower you. Marinate in it and let it bring you unspeakable joy. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.  Col 2:13-14 (NLT) As we continue to celebrate and appreciate the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, let us gratefully walk in the benefits of His grace. In Christ we are made new. While it may take us time to fully embrace it, we are being transformed daily in the image of Christ. Surrender to the process and learn to forgive yourself as you evolve. You are no longer bound by guilt or shame. Keep pressing forward in Christ and know that as He restores and renews you, He continues to extend His grace towards you. The more you draw close to the light, He will dispel every dark place in your life. Keep yielding your heart to Him and every stubborn part of you will follow. Remember, Christ loved you to His death, resurrection and beyond. There is no greater love, nor no greater sacrifice. Open your eyes and your arms to receive and bask in His unfailing love. He Goes Before You

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deut. 31:8 (NIV) There is a comfort in knowing that God has prepared a path before you. Don’t let anything hold you back from what the Lord has asked you to do. There is another level that God desires to take you to. Yield to Him and be a vessel that He can work through. If there is any hesitation remember the Lord has already gone ahead. We need not fret or be filled with dread. Fear is a hinderance, so don’t let the enemy get in your head. Let the power of God rise up in you to declare what He’s said. He will not leave you, so you are never alone. Surrender all your cares to Him because He still sits on the throne. There is nothing He won’t do for one of His own. He has displayed what He can do, and He can surely do it again. He won’t forsake you and He sees your pain within. Walk in Godly authority because with Him you will win. Don’t be discouraged and tell fear goodbye. You’re traveling with a King and He watches you with a loving eye. With God you have all you need to survive. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Extend Grace

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. James 3:9-10 (NIV) Let the words match the God that you serve. Remember to give the same respect to others that you think you deserve. Be mindful to not use your words in a double-minded way. Let righteousness be your guide and standard every day. If you miss the mark, apologize and keep moving forward with genuine affection. Continue to grow in order to be an image of His reflection. Extend grace to others, because they are God’s creation. Be a vessel of His love in every season and situation. Let’s go and grow together. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Psalm 16:7-8 (NIV) God ministers to our heart and guides us, so we do not stray. He has control over all that we face today. Our life is truly in His hands. Trust and wait on His plans. Let Him lead even if it means you may go through unchartered waters or rocky seas. Don’t be discouraged by the high tides or difficulties. With God by your side, you can survive any stormy weather. He is the glue that keeps you together. Your path is laid, and He knows the direction you must go. Pick up your weary head and bask in the grace that flows. In Him you’re on solid ground and He will not let you fall. Rest in Him and give Him your all. Keep your focus on the Lord in spite of what comes your way. Believe in your heart that He will answer when you pray. He won’t let you down and you will be just fine. You’re not alone, because God has you on His mind. There is no need to worry or fret. God has a promise over your life that He won’t forget. Keep pressing forward with your head held high. For God is not a man that He should lie. He promised to keep you and He surely will. Called & Covered

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. Romans 8:28 (Amp.) It is good to know that God is concerned about everything that concerns us. In spite of what we may be facing or going through we can trust that God will work it out for our good and His glory. Ultimately, God can and will use our current circumstances to enhance and perfect our future purpose. Even when others come up against us with the wrong intentions God will turn it around. What was sent to break us He will use to build us. God is the one with the blueprint for our life and all that is thrown our way will not hinder His plans for us. Established & Blessed

All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Prov. 16:2-3 (NIV) As we make our goals and plans in life, we must be careful and consider our motives. Everything that we do and say should be motivated by God’s love, His desires for us and the lives of others. Being in alignment with the Lord is more important than our checklist of accomplishments and things to do. Remember, it’s not what you do, but why you’re doing it. Our actions will follow our heart and our words reflect what’s in our heart. We must constantly be in prayer to be led by the Spirit and not our flesh. Pray to be an instrument and conduit of God’s love on earth. Be devoted to Him and trust that He will do the rest. He will establish you, direct your path and place you on a solid foundation. Let Him Flow

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Prov. 4:23 (NIV) Lord search our hearts daily, so all that we say and do will reflect you. Heal us from all the hurts and pains that we have been through. Have your way in us as we surrender to your will. Teach us how to rest in you and be open vessels for you to fill. Remove all bitterness and unforgiveness that may be dwelling deep within our hearts. As we trust in you let us never forget to do our part. We seek your face through your word, worship and constant prayer. Let our life show that we walk with a loving God who cares. As we soak in you and absorb your very essence. Let our life reflect as one who has been basking in your presence. Thank you for shining on us with your beautiful glow. As you have poured into us, from within us let it continue to flow.
