“For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deut. 20:4 (NIV) Have you ever felt as though you were under attack? Perhaps your enemies seem to be closing in on you and you just don’t know what to do. This text reminds us that we don’t have to be intimidated by those who oppose us or in times of battle. Have confidence in knowing that God goes with us. If God is for us, who can be against us? When you walk with the Lord and rely on Him to fight your battles, you are already on the winning side. As we mediate on the verse of the week, be encouraged and know that you are not alone. God is with you and has declared you will walk in victory. Don’t quit prematurely. Keep the faith and believe that God will give you strength to keep going. He will sustain, protect and deliver you. Have faith in God’s sovereignty and walk in your victory.
