A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted. Prov 12:16 (NLT) When you are on the receiving end of the antics of those who are trying to offend you with their words or actions, don’t take the bait. It is easy to respond in the moment with the same energy you are getting, but it takes self-control and self-awareness to refrain from allowing yourself to be drawn into conflict. Know who you are in God, so the opinions and words of others do not trigger you or make you feel the need to defend yourself. Don’t personalize the attacks of the offender. Usually, their behavior is more about them than you. Don’t let them project their negativity onto you. When you are facing attacks of any kind, think twice before giving a response. SPP – Stop, pray and put on the full armor of God. Most importantly, if your communication cannot be done in a peaceful manner its best to table it until both parties are ready and willing to do so with love, integrity and maturity. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon
