Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. 1 Timothy 4:12-14 (NIV) In life there are many people that will come along and try to make you feel unqualified for what God has called you to do. God did not get anyone’s approval when He placed special gifts inside of you. You don’t need man’s validation to follow the path that was ordained for you before the foundation of the earth. Don’t look to others to define your worth. The attack on you now is to make you feel unworthy to fulfill your call. Trust God every step of the way, because He ordained it all. Your purpose is great, because of the great things He has spoken over your life, that will not come back void. That’s why your enemies are so annoyed.
