About Agape Inspirations

"But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace." Acts 20:24 (NRSV)

The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Prov. 12:18 (NIV) When we are reckless, uncaring and careless with our words it causes unnecessary harm to others. When we practice wisdom, discernment and empathy we can be used by God to soothe an aching heart. Our words can have the power to uplift or tear down. They can encourage or discourage. We can use our voice as an agent of healing or a source of pain. Being cognizant of how you communicate is important. Consider thinking before you speak, especially when you’re angry. Avoid giving impulsive responses to others and be mindful of your tone and delivery. Choose to use your words to be a blessing and be blessed. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Praise God for Life!

I will not die but live and will proclaim what the Lord has done. Psalm 118:17 (NIV) Praise God for another day of life. It is a blessing to be here to experience the goodness of God in the land of the living. Think about all that has occurred throughout your life that has attempted to kill your hopes, dreams, and purpose. You survived by the grace of God. If you have been through anything spiritually, physically or mentally that could have caused your demise give God some praise that you have overcome. You haven’t just been keeping afloat you have been kept victoriously by God. All that was meant to kill you will be your testimony that God will cover, restore and protect you. Give God the fruit of your lips today and praise Him for abundant life. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Abundant Light & Life

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence]. Eph 4:31 (Amp.) If we are not careful, we can hold onto things and unpleasant experiences longer than we should. If you want to grow, let it go. Decide today to release everything that weighs you down emotionally and mentally. Make a conscious effort to change unhealthy and unproductive thought patterns and character traits that you’ve become accustomed to. When you harbor negativity, you continue to manifest negative experiences and interactions. When you embrace positivity, you unleash the endless possibilities of prosperous experiences. Let your actions and speech represent the God that you serve. Willingly decide to love the way God loves you and walk in abundant light and life. Stay the course! ADaubon

Love always wins!

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. Prov. 10:12 (NRSV) It is very important to be aware of what’s stored up in your heart. If we are not careful, we can let rejection and life experiences cause us to develop and harbor negative emotions. Often a disappointment turns into dislike, and dislike nurtured can turn into hatred. When mulling over or rehearsing a wrongdoing it can become a life of its own. Love is the antidote to all of the above. Love yourself enough to forgive and let it go. Cherish peace enough to pursue it with the goal of displaying the love of God. Bask in the love of God until it oozes out of you, even onto your foes. When given the opportunity to cradle hate or walk in love, choose love. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

Attitude of Gratitude

This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 (NLT) With every rising morning we set the path for our day by either pursuing peace or entertaining drama. We can decide to ponder on our woes or maintain an attitude of gratitude and appreciation. We can count our burdens or celebrate our blessings. Have a good day on purpose by choosing joy! Let’s go and grow together! ADaubon

Monday Meditation

Hold On, Don’t Give Up

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. Psalm 62:5-6 (NIV) When going through challenging times be careful not to take matters into your own hands without truly understanding what God wants you to do in the situation. Patiently wait on God, keep the faith and do not be intimidated by anything or anyone. Place your confidence in the One who is the source of everything that you need. Completely depend on Him to move on your behalf. God is your support, and you can rest on Him. He will hold you up and keep you secure. Remain steady in Him, for He is your rock. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

The Path You Choose

People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed. Prov. 10:9 (NLT) When tempted to be dishonest or do something immoral consider the cost of your decision. Often God strategically places you in places to be the light in the midst of darkness. You are meant to transform not conform to your environment. Use discernment and wisdom in everything that you do and say. Be principled, even when the alternative appears more enticing. Avoid agreements and alliances with individuals who are shifty or shady. Do not cosign the actions of those who are not doing what is in the best interest of others or are involved in crooked schemes. Be bold enough to walk in integrity, even if others choose to not walk alongside you. Do not envy those who seem to be advancing in spite of their evil and unethical ways, because their time of exposure is coming. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, so if you should stray quickly return to the correct path. Every day we have to make choices that will reveal who we really are, choose wisely. Monday Meditation

Even to your old age I am He, and even to your advanced old age I will carry you! I have made you, and I will carry you; Be assured I will carry you and I will save you. It doesn’t matter what comes your way, there is absolutely nothing that He cannot deliver you from. In Him you can depend. Hang in there, God has not forgotten you. Let’s go and grow together. Fresh Wind Wednesday

If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 (Amp.) There are many things that you cannot control. You cannot change the actions and reactions of others. However, you can be intentional about pursuing peace in your thoughts, words and deeds. Do everything that you can to practice, promote and maintain a positive relationship with others. Abstain from all activities that thrive in chaos and dissention. Have no part in negative conversations or plans that do not create and foster healthy outcomes. Be humble and seek forgiveness from those you have wronged. Then forgive yourself and strive to be and do better. Endeavor to be your best self privately and publicly. The more you are at peace within, the easier it will be for you to cultivate peaceful relationships and interactions with others. End your week with peace. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon
