Prayer for Essential Workers

God we pray for all the essential workers and employees who are critical to the day-to-day operations of our society. Cover and protect all those who put their lives at stake everyday to make a difference. We pray as they continue to pour out daily, you will restore and rejuvenate them. As they seek to meet the needs of others, please meet all their needs. Let there be no lack in their households and may all their families have a continuous flow of provision. Give them encouragement, when they feel discouraged. Give them strength, when they feel weary. When they see the worst and have to witness the devastation of things unimaginable, help them to process that which they have experienced and guard their hearts and minds. Lord, let them know that you have equipped them with all that they need to accomplish the tasks before them. Honor their service, for they are instruments of your love and mercy. When they reach their homes after a long day or night of work, help them to de-stress and relax. Give them sweet, peaceful rest. Help us to show our gratitude for them and continue to lift them up in prayer. We stand on your promise that you will empower and reward them for their dedication. Thank you for taking care of them, as they unselfishly take care of us. Thank you for strengthening us all for the journey ahead. In the Jesus name, Amen. ADaubon

Our Help

God we look to you in times of adversity. You are the maker of heaven and earth and you attend to the needs of all your creation. See our hearts and hear our cries. While there are so many things seeking our attention, we look to you. Help us to keep our focus on you and silence the noise around us. Help us to keep our hearts anchored in you. You are our rock and sustainer. We seek your face for direction, guidance, power, strength, protection and healing. You comfort us when we are hurting. You uplift us when we are falling and keep our minds when anxious thoughts arise. You provide, when our resources have become scarce. You fill our cup, when we are thirsty. You keep us stable, when we feel like falling. Everything we need is found in you. You know our needs before we knew we had a need. You know our thoughts, before we verbalize them. You know us intimately. As we seek your face, search our hearts and minds and meet us at our place of need. Thank you for being Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. You are our ever-present help. We stand on your promises and give you our total attention. In Jesus name, Amen. ADaubon

Prayer for the Nations

God we pray for unity amongst our nations and world leaders. Let your goodness rise in all branches of government throughout the world. Let them come together on one accord to have order and effective global leadership. Help them look beyond differences in opinions and beliefs, to do what is right, just and good. We pray for clarity and direction, for those who are in decision making positions. Seal cracks in fragmented national relationships. Show them how to come together for a common cause and the greater good. May your grace and mercy flow to them and through them. Give them wisdom and insight. Let everything be done in decency and in order. Use them in spite of themselves. Inspire all your children across the globe to rise up and call upon your name day and night. Humble all prideful, arrogant and haughty hearts and mindsets. Encourage those who stand for integrity to not get weary in well doing. We acknowledge that all power belongs to you and you alone. You are the king of kings and lord of lords. We place all our trust in you. We give you all the praise, honor and glory. In Jesus name, Amen.

Have No Fear

Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:6-7 (NIV) Everyday we are hearing frightening statistics that are alarming. If we are not careful we can allow what we hear to paralyze us with fear. When feelings of fret attempt to consume and overwhelm you, do not be moved. Let your heart be securely anchored in the Lord and he will settle your emotions. He will give you peace when you are anxious and rest when you feel unsettled. It is our trust in him that helps us to stand, when everyone around us is falling. When you are running low and feel like giving up, don’t lose your faith. The Lord has not forgotten you. Through the vicissitude of life, he has promised that you will not be shaken. Be encouraged. He Lives In You

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (NLT) Because you died we can live. Because you gave, we are able to give. Our life is no longer our own. For you we live and you alone. Before you entered our life we needed direction. Now we live without fear, under your protection. You have been more patient than anyone has ever been. A loving sacrifice, who delivered us from sin. Thank you for turning our life around. Our old ways no longer have the power to keep us bound. You lovingly manifests yourself in us. In you we place all our faith and trust. Because you rose we can rise from anything we go through. Because of this, we say thank you. ADaubon

Good Friday

Can you believe it? Jesus is petitioning for forgiveness for those who were crucifying him. Wow, in the midst of all the physical pain and anguish, he was advocating for others, better yet the very ones inflicting the suffering. He laid down his life with a forgiving heart for us. While fulfilling his purpose of being a living sacrifice to bring reconciliation between God and man, he exemplifies what forgiveness looks like. What a display of compassion and mercy. Let us take a pause today and celebrate the forgiveness that has been awarded to us. Truly appreciate what was done on your behalf and pay it forward. Thank you Lord for the sacrifice you made. Today and everyday we celebrate you. ADaubon

Maundy Thursday

After Christ washed the feet of the disciples, he encouraged them to follow his example. This lesson in humility, is still one we can learn from today. Always remember to remain humble, regardless of your position, status or gifting. Display unconditional love that is no respecter of persons. Desire to positively touch the life of all whom you come into contact with. Jesus touched and washed what was considered to be the dirtiest part of the disciples, their feet. His cleansing power is still effective today. He wants to reach you in the places that others may have deemed too unclean to touch. All that you’ve done, that one would consider you unclean to walk in their presence, he has washed away. Know who you are in Christ and remember to love the way he loves you, without conditions or condemnation. Spread the love. ADaubon

Keep The Faith

God is faithful in every season you go through. We should look to him and rely on his providential care. When you are at your lowest, He strengthens your faith. When your heart is broken and you are in the middle of the storm, he will encourage you from deep within. In spite of what you encounter, with him you are able to withstand everything that comes your way. When fear and doubt attempts to overtake you, he lifts your bowed heads. Let your trust in him increase in the times when you need him the most. Even when you don’t understand why things are occurring, keep your faith anchored in him. Make up in your mind that you will love God and trust him, no matter what. Remain steadfast, don’t give up now. ADaubon
