The Best Rest – In Him

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. Psalm 4:8 (NLT) When we are resting in God, we experience peace that surpasses understanding. Resting requires giving it all to Him and pressing into His presence for restoration. When anxiousness arises and you feel disquieted within, surrender it all to God. When trials come, trust God. When seeking direction or facing seasons of uncertainty, go to our omniscient all-knowing God. When feeling discouraged or ridden with disappointment, know that He’s near. The safety of our mind, heart and soul can only be found in His loving arms; and under the shelter of His divine care. Toil no longer and toss and turn no more. “Do not go on boasting so very proudly. Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the Lord is a God of knowledge, And by Him actions are weighed (examined).” 1 Samuel 2:3 (Amp.) Humility is a Christlike attribute that we should all reflect in our lives daily. When we walk in rooms and spaces our desire should be that His light shines through us, rather than us shining the light on ourselves.  All that we are or will ever be is by the grace of God, and all the glory belongs to Him. We don’t need to impress others with our resume of accomplishments or titles, because our value and worth is wrapped up in Christ and Christ alone. Acknowledging and accepting Christ’s sacrifice and devoting ourselves to live for Him is the most important decision we’ll ever make. Fulfilling His call and purpose in our life is the highest achievement. Being used by Him to make a difference in the lives of others is a win for the kingdom. Let our focus and our hearts remain fixed in the right place for the right reason. Let our motives and our actions point the world to our Savior. If we are to boast about anyone, let it be our Triune God. For when it is all said and done our desire is to hear Him say well done. Press Forward! ADaubon

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 42:11 (NIV) When we are going through the most challenging seasons in life, we must place our hope in the Most High. He hears every prayer and is attentive to every cry. Our God is faithful to rescue us in our times of trouble and despair. He carries our burdens, because He truly cares. When discontentment tries to take up space earnestly seek His face. Let your encouragement rise from deep within and overflow in your heart and mind. Remember, our God is loving, patient and kind. He will not leave us downtrodden or without direction. His love guides and leads us into His divine protection. We don’t have to be overwhelmed with anxiety. Lift up thine head, and denounce fear and worry. Stand on God’s promises and remember He love you. He is faithful to bring carry us and raise us above what we’re going through. He’ll give us joy for our sorrow. The peace of His presence we should follow. Until every plan comes to fruition He hold us up with His mighty right hand. No matter what we are dealing with, we must trust that God has a plan. It’s working for our good, even if we can’t see it right now. He will bring us through all that He has allows. Place all your hope in our God – who is faithful. LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12 (NIV) True success is being established by God – not the standards of the world. God builds us and places us on the path that He has designed for our life. Find peace on the path He has set before you, and trust that God is leading you directly where you need be to fulfill the call on your life. All that we are and will ever be is a direct result of God’s hand on our life. Even when we make mistakes God recalculates our steps. Every closed door and rejection were part of God’s protection and redirection. Trust the plans of God and surrender to the process. Let us surrender every endeavor and plan to the Lord and seek His wisdom and guidance. Let God lead the way. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT) Lord, today we commit our minds and thoughts to you. We denounce all worry, fear and anxiety that may try to attach itself to us. We firmly believe that whatever is occurring in the world, our life and even our bodies are under your complete authority. We command your shalom peace in our minds and in the spaces that we occupy, physically and mentally. We believe that you can move what seems immovable, and make possible what appears impossible. There is nothing too hard for you. Give us joy where depression tries to settle, and a spirit of hope where doubt arises. We choose to believe you today. We stand on our faith and move forward in our day knowing that you have already gone before us and your angels encamp around us. Thank you in advance for taking care of everything that concerns us. Today, is a good day and we will uplift a song in our heart and maintain a praise on our lips. For you are worthy to be praised and our breakthrough is found in the midst of our worship. The God of All Help

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV) When we are in need God is forever near to you. He is there no matter the situation we may be going through. Often, we look for comfort and rescue in all the wrong places. Don’t become frustrated when you are unable to find comfort in familiar spaces. We can find safety in God, our strong tower. His presence is with us every minute of the hour. He will pick you up when your heart feels downcast. Don’t look for peace in temporary solutions, when you can draw from His shalom that will last. The forgiving Father who does not focus on our past. Whatever is weighing heavy on your heart today, remember our triune God is the only way. Call on the Father, rely on Jesus and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within. When others are walking out, He’s walking in. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon

God Hears Us

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jer. 29:12-13 (NIV) God we thank you for hearing our prayers. You are the only one who can truly attend to our cares. Though the trials come and the burdens try to mound, you’re faithful to turn it all around. There is no safer place that will ever be found. When our hearts are heavy and we’re on the brink of despair, your love and compassion is always there. When we call upon your name with earnest prayers, we hear you saying, my child I am here. In our darkest hours you are forever near. Thank you for never leaving us and always answering when we call. With you, no matter what we go through, we can overcome it all. Be Still and Remember God Will….

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. Psalm 37:7-9 (NIV) We don’t have to concern ourselves with the schemes of the wicked. Resist fear and stand still and wait for God to fight your battles. Anyone and anything that comes up against us must face our all-powerful God. He is El Shaddai – all mighty and powerful. Don’t walk in anger, rage or timidity. Don’t Give Up – God Has A Plan

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Prov. 16:3 (NIV) God will plant your feet on solid ground. Don’t let obstacles bring you down. Your path is written, in spite of all that comes against you. Nothing will stop you from doing what God has called you to do. Never measure your accomplishments according to the world’s standards or image. No matter what you think or how people make you feel you are not average. You have worth and value, because of His divine presence in your life and all that He placed within your inner being. Trust God in spite of what you’re feeling and seeing. Rejection is God’s divine protection. Let every no lead you down the path of divine direction. He establishes us and places our feet on solid ground that cannot be altered or changed. When all else fails us, our God still remains. Don’t be discouraged, God sees you and you are not alone in all that you go through. Hold your head high and find comfort in knowing God truly loves you. His plans are secure, even if it’s not what you thought it would be. Let this truth set you free. Let’s go and grow together.
