Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:6-7 (NIV) Everyday we are hearing frightening statistics that are alarming. If we are not careful we can allow what we hear to paralyze us with fear. When feelings of fret attempt to consume and overwhelm you, do not be moved. Let your heart be securely anchored in the Lord and he will settle your emotions. He will give you peace when you are anxious and rest when you feel unsettled. It is our trust in him that helps us to stand, when everyone around us is falling. When you are running low and feel like giving up, don’t lose your faith. The Lord has not forgotten you. Through the vicissitude of life, he has promised that you will not be shaken. Be encouraged.
