Let Peace Reign

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. (Col. 3:15 NLT) We all have to look deep within ourselves and really evaluate what really influences our thoughts, actions, feelings and emotions. The peace of God is greater than the superficial peace that the things of the world provide. The true peace of God resonates deep in your heart and promotes unity. We can celebrate each of our differences while functioning as one. We don’t have to all look, walk or talk alike, to function as a cohesive group. If you are unable to move forward in love peacefully, take a good look and see what’s ruling your heart. ADaubon

Genuine Affection

Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Romans 12:10 (NLT) Genuine affection is authentic and sincere. It cares without limits and is not intimated by fear. It is God’s will that we love everyone with a pure heart. Don’t let the actions of others discourage you from being loving, just do your part. Treat others with respect and decency. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. Just love. ADaubon

Hope

By awesome deeds you answer us with deliverance, O God of our salvation; you are the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas. Psalm 65:5 (NRSV) God is actively moving on our behalf. Don’t stop bombarding the heavens with your petitions and prayers. He is faithful to deliver us. He will carry us out of every season of darkness. Don’t stop believing and don’t give up hope. Everything that seeks to keep us living in fear and bound, God can turn it around. There is no disease or discrimination that is too hard for God to eradicate. Continue to trust God and stay encouraged! ADaubon

Peace

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 (NRSV) We are called to live at peace as much as possible. We should do our part to bring harmony in all our relationships. Be humble and actively pursue peace at all times. We must accept our role and responsibility in cultivating an atmosphere of peace, in our homes, workplace and community. Be humble and don’t think more highly of yourself than you ought. Don’t look down on others. Show compassion at all times. Make every effort to live amicably with each other. In the presence of peace is harmony. Don’t just say you want peace, but rather do all you can to promote it. ADaubon

God’s Plan Prevails

But Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid! Am I in the place of God? Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today. Genesis 50:19-20 (NRSV) It doesn’t matter who tries to destroy you or hold you back, God’s plan for your life will go forward. Our journey has some pitfalls and hurtful encounters, but God will use it all for a greater purpose. Walk in the favor of God and always forgive. God will provide for you and use you to provide for others. Stay encouraged, God’s plan and purpose for your life will come to pass. ADaubon

Don’t just relate, participate!

Learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17 (NRSV) When those who are in authoritative positions treat others harshly, we must advocate for what is fair and just. We must protect and defend those who feel abandoned. We should intercede for those who have experienced loss. In this season, let us have compassion for others that spurs us to action. Don’t just desire change or relief for others, but actively participate in it coming to pass. Don’t just relate to the plight of another, participate in the process of change. ADaubon

Do The Right Thing

When tempted to do what’s wrong, choose to do what is right. For when we do, it is pleasing in God’s sight. In life, you will be challenged and put to a moral test. Take the high road and let God do the rest. When others turn a blind eye, stand up for what is just and fair. Do it even when no one is watching, for God is everywhere. ADaubon

You’re Covered

But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thes. 3:3 (NRSV) We don’t have to fear the plans of the wicked. We can walk in TOTAL confidence that we are covered. He will give you power to stand against all who come against you. He will protect you from the snares of those who seek to entrap you. He will stand watch for those who seek to devour you. His protection surrounds you. Do not be afraid, trust God to take care of you, especially when you are under attack and others seek to cause you harm. The plans of the enemy will not prevail. Don’t worry and don’t you fret. God will never leave you defenseless. ADaubon

Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3 (NLT) Each day that you rise, submit every care and concern to the Lord. Then believe with all your heart, that He will keep you and take care of everything that concerns you. If He’s ever done anything for you, reflect and trust that He can and will do it again. He hears you and sees you in the midst of all you are going through. Maintain your posture of prayer and don’t lose hope. ADaubon
