Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Psalm 3:2-4 (NIV) Sometimes when you are going through difficult seasons in your life, there will be many who doubt that God will deliver you. Often it is when your situation is at its worst, others will try to put limitations on what God can do for you because of their limited faith. There are some that genuinely do not desire for your situation to change or get better. When your faith is being tested try to drown out the noise of the naysayers and trust God even more. Don’t let seeds of doubt be planted in your heart and mind from those who do not know what God is about to do in your life. As we focus on the verse of the week, believe that in your challenging times God will cover you in the midst of what you’re going through. He will change your countenance and bring you joy where there is sadness. He will bring you serenity where there is chaos and uneasy feelings. He hears you when you cry out to Him and He is faithful to come to your rescue. Don’t give up now, no matter what anyone says. Believe for yourself that God has not forgotten you and His faithfulness towards you will never cease. God has you and all that concerns you in the palm of His hand. Stay encouraged!
