Dare To Hope
The thought of my suffering and homelessness is bitter beyond words. I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” Lam. 3:19-24 (NLT) There are times in our life when we go through seasons of suffering. During these moments, days or years the losses may appear too great and the pain too much to bear. It is in these moments that we must have a “Yet I Still Dare to Hope” praise. When you dare to hope in God, it means that in spite of the pain and difficulty you are enduring, you choose to believe God will deliver you. It’s a personal declaration that no matter what it looks or feels like you will trust God to change your situation for the better. It’s a leap of unshakable faith that cannot be penetrated by your circumstances. Don’t let moments of discouragement cause you to doubt God. Let your downheartedness be greeted by a will that honestly desires to trust God for all things and in every situation. Unwavering confidence in God is the antidote to a disquieted spirit. As you meditate on the verse of the week remember that when you go through difficult times, dare to hope in God. He sees you and His faithfulness continues to flow towards you. May His grace rain down on you and His mercy uplift you in every weary place. Let’s go and grow together. ADaubon
