About Agape Inspirations

"But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace." Acts 20:24 (NRSV)

DARE TO LOVE

In order to freely love, it comes with some level of vulnerability. It takes courage to give your heart, when you have no idea of what’s on the other side. It takes boldness to invest yourself in another, without knowing if they will truly appreciate or value your heart. There are degrees of uncertainties involved when you share your emotions with others. It takes a leap of faith to dive into love, not knowing if the oasis you see is real or a figment of your imagination. It takes trust to let down your guard, to let someone in. Some say it’s too much of a risk, while others say it’s worth the risk. It all depends on your perspective, which is shaded with past experiences, exposure, upbringing and core beliefs. But if you chose to love, do it authentically, unconditionally, with a sincere heart and without fear. Dare to love. ADaubon

Real Love

Love extends beyond mere words and goes deeper than the surface. True love has a purpose. It seeks to mend and never intends to offend. Love forgives and keeps loving you more. Real love can always be restored. So don’t just love with your words, put it in motion. For love is an action word, not just an emotion. ADaubon

Memorial Day 2020

Let us pause today and honor those who gave their lives in battle for the United States of America. The greatest sacrifice one could ever make, is to lay down their life for others. To those families that mourn the loss of your loved ones, who so willingly gave of themselves to serve our country, many prayers go up for you today. Know that their labor of love and honor will never be forgotten. ADaubon

Heart Medicine

Be content and rest in God’s peace in every season. The mere fact that you have life, is a very good reason. There is more to life than status and wealth. Having a cheerful disposition could improve your mental and physical health. No matter what life brings your way, don’t hang your head down low. Let the seeds of joy be planted in your heart and watch it grow. ADaubon

Be Refreshed

Growing up, a saying that always stood out to me was “A closed hand can’t receive”. This scripture reminds me of that sentiment. We should always consider what we can do for others. Not just in this season, but in every season of your life. There is a real blessing in being kind and extending a helping hand to others with the right motives. This verse reminds us that God will not overlook a sincere and generous heart. For all those who willingly give of their time, money and resources to help someone in need, God sees you. God will bless you until your cup overflows. Continue to allow God to use you to strengthen others and watch God strengthen, restore and revitalize you. As you bless others, you will be blessed. As you refresh others, you will be refreshed. ADaubon

Take Heed To His Lead

So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him. Genesis 6:22 (NLT) God gave Noah very clear instructions that were meant to preserve his life and ultimately the future of humankind, man and animals alike. God’s directions, was for Noah’s protection and part of his purpose. Noah does exactly what he is instructed to do. Today I encourage you to carefully consider what you have been instructed to do, that you haven’t done yet? What assignment have you been given, that has been left neglected? We must remember when God gives us a command it is part of a bigger plan. It’s not just about us, but others as well. Just as Noah’s obedience was for his good and the good of generations to come, so is yours. Don’t delay any longer. Revisit all that God has told you to do and follow His direction. Ask God for clarity and take heed to His lead. ADaubon

Faithful Love

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lam. 3:22-23 (NRSV) God’s love is as solid as a rock, unbreakable and strong. His compassion and forgiveness flows like a river and is never ending. His love is faithful, consistent, dependable and durable. It is the greatest love you will ever experience. Because of His great love, He continuously extends mercy and grace towards us. ADaubon

The Right Garments

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Col. 3:12 (NLT) When we wake up in the morning and get dressed, it is second nature to take a look in the mirror before you leave the house. We may check to make sure we have on all the right garments, appropriate for the climate. The garments in this text is the inner layer, not the outer layer. But we must make a conscious decision to daily adorn ourselves with the attributes that please God. Remember to be gentle and kind. Have compassion and walk in forgiveness. Be humble and considerate of others. This is all weather gear, appropriate for every season. As you prepare for your day, remember to select the garments fitting of one who is chosen. ADaubon

Have Empathy

Empathy means being able to share in the emotions of others. We must be able to encourage others in every season of their life. Be there during their highs and lows. We are individuals living within communities. We have to have compassion for one another in order to coexist in harmony. Rejoice with people when they celebrate and comfort them when they need to be comforted. Never become so engulfed in your own journey, that we fail to acknowledge the journey of others. Iron sharpens iron and where one is weak another may be strong. Together we can get through anything. ADaubon
